LID NEWS: Steve has been invited by the Dr. Yong Lai of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (www.usbr.gov) to present a workshop on Low Impact Development for design professionals and regulators in Taichung, Taiwan on December 8th and 9th, 2011. The workshop will focus on understanding the strategies of LID as well as how to apply LID strategies in the real world to address volumetric and water quality issues associated with urban runoff. Mr. Trinkaus is a nationally recognized expert in Low Impact Development and has authored LID Design Manuals for the towns of Tolland, and Plainville as well as a manual of recommended LID practices for the Town of Harwinton all of which adopted LID as part of their land use regulations. He is also the primary author of a National LID Guidance Document through the Environmental Water Resources Institute, a division of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
