Town of Tolland, CT

In 2007, Mr. Trinkaus was retained by the Town of Tolland, Connecticut to prepare a Low Impact Development and Stormwater Management Manual for all land use projects. The manual was adopted in February of 2008. Mr. Trinkaus revised the manual in 2011 to include LID approaches for the Tolland Village Area where Smart Growth concepts were to be implemented. Mr. Trinkaus is the copyright holder for the Tolland LID manual. View Manual

Town of Plainville, CT

In 2010, the Town of Plainville received funding from the CT DEP under the Farmington River Enhancement Grant program to hire consultants to identify barriers to the implementation of LID in their regulations and to adopt LID for future development projects. Trinkaus Engineering, LLC in conjunction with Planimetrics performed this work with Planimetrics performing a reorganization of the Plainville Zoning Regulations, while Mr. Trinkaus prepared a LID Design Manual for the town. View Manual

Town of East Granby, CT

In 2010, the town was a recipient of funding from the CT DEP Farmington River Enhancement Grant Program to incorporate LID into their land use regulations. Mr. Trinkaus prepared two LID documents for the Town of East Granby. The first was an educational document entitled “East Granby, Low Impact Development Education Booklet”. View Document

Town of Harwinton, CT

The town was a recipient of funding from the CT DEP Farmington River Enhancement Grant Program to evaluate the incorporation of LID into their land use regulations. The town did not adopt LID, but opted to create a document entitled “Harwinton, Public Education Materials on Stormwater Management and Low Impact Development”. This document was authored by Mr. Trinkaus. View Document
